With over 50 years of fishing experience on the Chesapeake Bay, Captain Fletch is dedicated to ensuring you have a successful and memorable trip. He holds a US Coast Guard Master’s 100-ton license and is known for going the extra mile to ensure a great day on the water.
Our Vessel
Miss Carolyn II is a 2003 42 foot Jones fiberglass boat built to U.S. Coast Guard standard and certified to carry up to 26 passengers. She is powered by a 420 H.P. Caterpillar engine. Miss Carolyn II is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment including Furino radar, depth finder, Garmin chart plotter, stereo system and ICOM VHF radios.
For your comfort, the heated cabin with seating capacity for up to ten passengers provides protection from any inclement weather. Her first-rate enclosed head, galley, and cabin have many of the features of home including running water, refrigerator and microwave.
Fishing Areas
We normally fish five to ten miles from Rock Hall Harbor, about a half hour to one hour ride.
Fishing Methods
- Spring: Trolling is the go-to method for catching big ones.
- Chumming: Bottom fishing in areas from the Bay Bridge north.
- Live Lining: Available from August through the fall at no extra cost, using live bait to increase your chances of a great catch.
What’s Provided
Bait, tackle and all other necessary equipment will be provided. The boat is fully licensed. (No need for a personal fishing license!) Fish cleaning services will be provided at the end of each trip. Fish will be cleaned at your request and bagged for the trip home.
What to Bring
It is recommended that you bring deck shoes, warm clothes, rain gear (if needed), sun galsses, a cooler (for your catch) and a camera! All food and drinks are to be brought by the party. Miss Carolyn II Charters are not responsible for any items lost or destroyed while on the vessel.
What to do After
…And when a great day of fishing is over, you might try a drink and excellent meal at the Harbor Shack, right on the waterfront. You’ll love the outdoor dining, great menu and live music on weekends.

Cancellation Policy
Miss Carolyn II Charters reserves the right to cancel the trip for any reason. If the captain cancels the trip due to weather or any other reason, the party will have the option of rescheduling or receiving a full refund of any deposit given. Parties are to cancel 5 days prior to scheduled trip or risk forfeiting any deposit given.
